International Shipping from Roanoke & Cave Spring, VA
Important Notice — Please Read First
International shipping rules, carrier requirements, and country regulations can change at any time without notice. The information on this page is a general guide only. Final acceptance, inspection, fees, delivery, seizure, return, or destruction of shipments are determined by carriers and destination-country authorities — not by us.
Need help on determining your shipment needs?
Country Restrictions and Requirements
Begin typing the destination country below, then select. We’ll return any known restrictions and requirements. Note: You may have to contact your recipient for information before bringing your shipment to our store.
Results will display here after you type a country name.
Click to fill this as fully as possible, then print before coming to the store. You may also print it for completion by hand. We are happy to provide a copy in the store also for you to complete.

We will ask in detail what is inside your package. International shipments require accurate customs information. Vague or incomplete answers cause delays, refusals, or seizures.
Commodity description rules
Minimum three-word descriptions per item
New vs. used must be stated
Each item requires: description, quantity, country of manufacture, and item value
Country of manufacture
Can be found on product packaging, manufacturer websites, or retail listings
Where you bought the item does not matter (example: that iPhone was not built in the US)
Commercial Invoice – Required
The commercial invoice is the document customs uses to inspect contents, assess duties and taxes, and decide admissibility.
Item values must be truthful
You tell us what items are worth
Star MailHube employees do not decide value or help you with value
Customs values and insured values must align (you cannot declare $50 and insure $500 for the same item)
Completing the Invoice Before You Come In
Please complete the Commercial Invoice (link above) as fully as possible before arriving. This speeds processing and reduces counter delays.
Important clarification
Completing the form does not mean your package should be sealed
You may seal it, but:
We reserve the right to open and inspect for any reason
We may refuse any shipment if contents cannot be verified
Shipments or packaging may be refused if contents feel loose or shake easily (poor packing)
Inspection, X-Ray & Repacking
Carriers and customs will likely X-ray your shipment and may open it. We reserve the right to open and inspect any sealed box you bring us.
We may:
Require repacking
Refuse shipments if contents cannot be verified
“Faking” contents is not a thing to do. It will get checked at some point and may be seized or returned.
Duties, Taxes & What Happens If Refused
The recipient is liable for any duties, customs fees, VAT, excise taxes, and related charges
We have no way of knowing what those charges might be
We do not control how the carrier or destination country applies them
If refused at any point during the journey:
Shipment may be returned or destroyed
Fees may still apply — even to return the package
No Money-Back Guarantee (MBG)
We do not have a money-back guarantee on international shipments.
Restricted & Prohibited Goods
Some items are prohibited entirely. Others are allowed only for certain countries or carriers.
Prohibited examples (not shippable) include (but are not limited to)
You will certify on the form that prohibited items are not present in the package.
Lithium Batteries & Electronics
Lithium batteries have significant shipping restrictions and can be refused depending on configuration, carrier rules, and destination country requirements. Final acceptance depends on what it is, how it’s packed, and where it’s going.
Countries We Cannot Ship To
Some destinations are blocked by U.S. restrictions, and others are limited by carrier and/or destination-country rules. These lists can change at any time. We will verify what’s allowed at the time of shipping.
