Free package drop-off in Cave Spring and Roanoke

Follow the instructions provided with your shipment or return.

Star MailHub and More accepts eligible prepaid FedEx, UPS, USPS, and DHL packages, plus supported QR-code return programs.

Some programs provide a shipping label to print. Others provide only a QR code. Happy Returns and FedEx Easy Returns also follow different check-in procedures. Bring what your instructions tell you to bring; we will determine whether it can be scanned into a system available at our counter.

Free, scan-verified drop-off for eligible prepaid packages and supported return programs.
What we accept

Prepaid labels and supported QR-code returns.

FedEx

Prepaid FedEx labels and FedEx Easy Returns QR codes.

UPS

Prepaid UPS labels and UPS Happy Returns QR codes.

USPS

Prepaid USPS shipping labels that scan into the USPS system.

DHL

Prepaid DHL labels, including DHL return labels.

We are not currently able to accept Amazon returns.

Amazon support is expected to change in the future, but at this time Amazon returns should be taken to the location specified in the customer’s return instructions.

We do not accept TikTok Shop QR codes.

A TikTok Shop QR code cannot currently be checked into any return system available at our counter.

UPS Happy Returns

Bring the item and the valid Happy Returns QR code.

  • A valid UPS Happy Returns QR code is required
  • The item is received through the Happy Returns workflow
  • No shipping label is required from the customer
  • Receipt confirmation is provided when the return is checked in

The QR code determines the return location.

Only returns specifically directed into the UPS Happy Returns system can be accepted through this program. A different return QR code may belong to another network or location.

FedEx Easy Returns

FedEx Easy Returns QR codes are accepted.

  • Bring the valid FedEx Easy Returns QR code
  • We produce the applicable label through the FedEx system
  • The return is scanned and checked in at the counter
  • Confirmation is provided after successful acceptance

Not every QR code is a FedEx Easy Returns code.

The code must be recognized by the FedEx return system. If it does not scan, we cannot accept the return as a FedEx Easy Return.

The scannability rule

If it cannot be scanned into the correct system, we cannot take it.

This applies to both prepaid packages and QR-code returns. A carrier name on the box—or a vendor suggesting a nearby shipping location—does not establish that the item belongs in a system available at our counter.

For a prepaid shipment, the shipping-label barcode must scan. For a supported QR return, the QR code must open the correct return workflow so we can apply the program’s tracking code and complete the check-in.

  • Prepaid labels must be clear, complete, and readable
  • The barcode must scan into the designated carrier system
  • The QR code must belong to a return program supported at our store
  • The shipment or return must meet that program’s acceptance requirements
  • The return instructions must direct the customer to the applicable carrier or program
Follow the issued instructions

The sender or return program determines what you should bring.

When you receive a shipping label

Follow the instructions that came with the label. Some shipments require you to print and attach it before arrival; others may include different preparation requirements.

  • Bring the item or package described in the instructions
  • Bring the complete, readable label provided to you
  • Do not cover or alter the active tracking barcode
  • We must be able to scan the label into the designated carrier system

When you receive a QR code

Follow the return instructions associated with that QR code. Some programs expect only the loose return item, while others use a different packaging or check-in process.

  • Bring the valid QR code issued for that return
  • Bring whatever item or packaging the instructions specify
  • UPS Happy Returns and FedEx Easy Returns use different workflows
  • We can accept the return only when the QR opens a supported system

Do not guess at the preparation.

Use the instructions in the return email, app, or shipping documentation. When a conventional package needs a little tape, the free Tape Deck may be enough. If it needs real packing work, we can offer paid professional repacking.
